Gardens & Villa won’t be making their way back to Los Angeles for a while, but they’re offering something to tide fans over. The Santa Barbara quintet has put together a collection of demos titled “Televisor,” which includes work from their time with producer Richard Swift (now of the Black Keys) at his National Freedom studio in 2012 and demos of “Dunes” recordings, which they recorded with producer Tim Goldsworthy (of DFA Records). They’ve previewing the EP with the track “Love Affair,” a track that is both a head-banger and an acid trip with the bombastic bass lines, percussion and signature free-wheeling flute. Gardens & Villa’s latest album “Dunes” is out now via Secretly Canadian.
