The vintage home-movie vibe of the new video for “Are We Saying Goodbye” is a perfect fit for the song and its languid mix of synths and strings. The arching, emotional tune is from Kan Wakan’s debut album “Moving On,” released in April. Filmed and directed by and starring Matt Helders (the Arctic Monkeys drummer) and actress/model Breana McDow, the video features fleeting moments with the couple and with Kan Wakan, and even (speaking of goodbyes) a little wave from now-departed singer Kristianne Bautista at the 3:19 mark. Kan Wakan, fresh off East Coast dates supporting Royal Blood and with singer Brittany Mullen (aka “KP”) now handling vocal duties, complete their remarkable year with one more Los Angeles show in December.
