The last time we heard from Brendan Thompson and Arash Parsee – aka Corsica Arts Club – we added songs like “California I Follow” to our long list of sun-kissed indie rock. The duo returns with “Untamed,” a track where it sounds like they packed up their beach gear after a long day of sun-bathing to go out dancing under the neon lights. Inspired by New Order and Bryan Ferry, its prominent Moog bass line turns previous bright guitar chords upside down for a dark post-punk synth anthem. In addition to expanding their soundscape, Corsica Arts Club has fleshed out their live band with Nate Chovanec, Peter McArthur, and Jason Mittleman.
