Stream: Holychild, ‘Running Behind’

I feel as if I’m not conversant enough in emojis to discuss the new single from Holychild. Is there a scrunched-up face for Liz Nistico’s chirpy vocals? Is there an “OK” sign for Louie Diller’s robot-kid production? Is there a man running and screaming as if he just walked into a junior high cheerleading camp? Is there a plumber’s snake for the poor fellow who’s still trying to get 2013’s “Best Friends” out of his head? Is there an eye-roll you could shoot at a duo who, prior to the release of their so-good-it-deserved-a-deluxe-edition EP “Mindspeak,” professed to aspire to make music that “challenges the listener to think about life?” Somebody help me here – Holychild’s full-length album will be out Glassnote next year, and it’s probably going to be big, and I barely have time to run out for a dozen rainbow-sprinkled donuts and catch up on episodes of “Teen Wolf.”
