Bicoastal duo Royal Tongues — the collaboration between Aaron Bonus and Justin Gammella — have emerged as another synth-pop act riding merrily in the slipstream of confectioners such as Passion Pit. With a background writing for other artists and for film and television, the pair debuted last fall with “The Balance” and its six remixes. This week’s new single is “Rollin’ On,” a big scoop of processed pop with sprinkles on top, and with a sugary aftertaste at that. Royal Tongues have an EP in the works: earworm alert.
