Who: The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger at the Outdoor Theatre
In 3 or Fewer Words: Apparitionally speaking.
Memorable Because: There’s no dodging DNA — Sean Lennon’s band with Charlotte Kemp Muhl sounds a lot like the psychedelic tip of his father’s band. It’s the singing voice, of course, positively Lennon, and the GOASTT’s shapely swirls cast an almost eerie air over the sun-splashed early arrivals. This just in, though: Sean can play some pretty tasty guitar solos, and he did during a set highlighted by songs “Animals,” “The Devil You Know,” “Poor Paul Getty” and their cover of “Golden Earrings,” a song Peggy Lee made a hit in the 1940s.
What I’d Tell My Camper Friend Who Was Waiting an Hour in Line for a Breakfast Burrito: Dude, on the other side of the activities tent, there’s a better burrito with no line.
