Video: Holland Belle, ‘Lovely Ghost’

Holland Belle is busy. The L.A.-based art’s soul-melting vocals have been the centerpiece of two EPs this year, the solo affair “Wanderlust,” released in February, and as part of the dream-pop quintet Nightjacket’s “Eternal Phases,” which came out in June. In both incarnations her measured, smoky voice is an evocative instrument, albeit more grounded amid Oscar Schedin’s slide guitar on her Americana EP. Australian filmmaker James Pillion the video for the song “Lovely Ghost,” using the familiar haunts of the Salton Sea as a setting and following Belle as she slowly explores the ruins.
