Mutemath had a busy, busy Thursday night. They did a crazy performance of their new single “Monument” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that saw singer Paul Meany start the song on a balcony stage and then “fall” into the crowd and get carried onto Kimmel’s main stage as the crowd released colored balloons. Then, it was off to the Satellite for their pop-up show, where they hung out with fans in line during a quick load-in and then gave the crowd their money’s worth — a two-hour, 20-song set that mixed older songs with some off their forthcoming fourth album “Vitals” (coming in late fall). The setlist for the rowdy, stobe-filled evening (there was crowd-surfing involved) stretched all the way back to Mutemath’s debut EP almost 11 years ago.
Setlist: Collapse, Typical, Monument, Blood Pressure, Spotlight, Used To, Light Up, Progress, Joy Rides, Chaos, Prytania, Stare at the Sun, Obsolete, Control, Noticed, Burden, You Are Mine, Reset, Break the Same, Quarantine
