Lee Ranaldo, longtime guitarist for Sonic Youth, will perform a solo show on Saturday, Nov. 7, as part of the Saturday Nights at the Getty series. Ranaldo has released two albums since Sonc Youth’s demise in 2011, including last year’s “Last Night on Earth.” In addition, the 59-year-old has been active as a solo performer and has been engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations in alternative venues such as cathedrals and museums.

On this night, he a solo performance on electric guitar at 7:30 p.m. in the Harold M. Williams Auditorium accompanied by visuals — preceded by two brief “sound interventions,” at 4 and 5 p.m., in the Getty Center’s courtyards.
