As first impressions go, it was pretty strong. Car Seat Headrest made their L.A. debut on Tuesday night, with Virginia-bred, Seattle-based Will Toledo in good spirits (maybe too good), leading his quartet through songs from their breakout album “Teens of Style.” The night was being filmed for a music video, but the energy was purely organic, with Toledo getting the biggest reaction from the single “Something Soon.” He engaged the audience in plenty of conversation, allowing as how his aunt and uncle were in the audience and admitting that the band was skipping one song in their setlist because he was too buzzed.

Garage-rockers Worn-Tin opened with an equally energetic set, during which a kid played a Nintendo 64 Mario Kart onstage. Oh, and they had a mini-fridge stocked with Capri Suns, which they shared with the crowd.
