Rising soul star Gallant has unveiled another precious metal to follow up his breakout single “Weight in Gold.” This one’s a shiny new collaboration with L.A.-based singer-songwriter Jhené Aiko titled “Skipping Stones.” The tune, produced by Adrian Younge with an assist from Gallant’s usual collaborator Stint, marries Gallant’s astral falsetto with Aiko’s equally celestial coo in a tune with a distinctly old-school feel. It’s the flip side of “Borderline,” Gallant’s collaboration with James Fauntleroy that was unveiled a couple months ago. The two-track digital single is out Friday via Red Bull Sound Select as one of 15 similar releases the brand will issue this year.
