Los Angeles concerts for Wednesday:

Big Star Third Live — a performance of the seminal Memphis band’s “Third” album — goes off at the Alex Theatre, with guests including Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo, Robyn Hitchcock, Dan Wilson of Semisonic, Brett Harris, Skylar Gudasz, Django Haskins of The Old Ceremony, Benmont Tench from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jon Auer, Jessica Pratt and more joining a core ensemble that includes original Big Star drummer Jody Stephens.
► In between his appearances at Coachella and Stagecoach, Chris Stapleton headlines the Greek Theatre, supported by Anderson East.
► Brooklyn’s Flatbush Zombies hold forth at the Fonda Theatre.
Gone is Gone — the new experimental rock band featuring Troy Sanders (Mastodon), Tony Hajjar (At The Drive-In), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age) and Mike Zarin — does an intimate gig at the Dragonfly.
► And William Elliott Whitmore plays a pre-Stagecoach show at the Roxy Theatre, with Josiah opening.
