L.A. alt-rockers Raw Fabrics had a good thing going, showcasing their dance-punk-derived electricity with singles along with two EPs in 2014 and ’15. Behind the music, though, frontman Jack B. Franco was torching relationships due to his problems with drug and alcohol addiction. Bandmates excused themselves from his life, as did his girlfriend. So, after “a moment of clarity,” he checked himself into treatment. “It was the best decision I’ve ever made in my entire life. Getting sober gave me the strength to say, ‘Let’s turn the fucking page. That’s all there is to do,’” he says.

His creativity reignited, Franco wrote and recorded a new batch of songs and began touring with a live drummer and backing tracks. His newfound resolve is evident in the toothy new incantation “Get Me the Hell Out of Here.” It’s kind of a rallying cry for the new Raw Fabrics and its army of one.
