Lolipop Records founder Wyatt Blair shared his love of desserts and power-pop on debut album “Banana Cream Dream” and now, for his follow-up LP, “Point of No Return,” out Aug. 5 on Lolipop and Burger Records, Blair revels in his aesthetic appreciation for early ’80s glam and hair metal. It’s all about the eyeliner, leather and baring his chest. Anchored by gated drums so crunchy you can taste the hairspay, go-get-em guitar riffs carry this rock ballad, acutely reminiscent of the days when dudes could talk about their hearts while snarling, when dangling earrings where a sign of toughness. Those days are never gone in the age of revival rock.
