Video: Cosmonauts, ‘A-OK!’

Cosmonauts released their fourth full-length album, “A-OK!,” on Aug. 19 through Burger Records. Together since 2009 when they bonded over Spacemen 3, The Velvet Underground and Brian Jonestown Massacre, the band formed by Derek Cowart and Alexander Ahmadi in Orange County has a fresh batch of broody psychedelic tunes that find melodies in the awkward disappointments of socializing. It’s not exactly happy stuff, but, like that good old existentialist Sartre once said, “Hell is other people.” Here’s to sunshine, rainbows, and atmospheric guitar pedals.
