Canadian quartet Wolf Parade were welcomed back to Los Angeles on Friday night like old friends who don’t come visit often enough. The indie-rockers, back together after five-plus years, skipped L.A. on their reunion dates early in the year, and Friday’s pre-FYF Fest show at the jam-packed Echo turned into a love fest. The group — Spencer Krug, Dan Boeckner, Arlen Thompson, and Dante DeCaro — powered through a 13-song main set and a one-song (“Kissing the Beehive”) encore. They played six songs from their debut “Apologies to the Queen Mary” (which got the deluxe re-issue treatment from Sub Pop earlier this year), four from 2008’s “At Mount Zoomer” and two from 2010’s “Expo 86.” Additionally, they performed “C’est La Vie Way” and “Floating World” from their new self-titled, self-released EP.

L.A.’s Junk, who on Friday released their self-titled LP, opened the show.
