Girl Tears have sixty-one seconds of anxiety they’d like to share from their new album, “Walk Against The Tide,” to be released Oct. 28 via Sinderlyn Records. This is the O.C./Los Angeles band’s second album, following 2014’s “Tension,” which blasted through 12 songs in 10 minutes. “Walk Against The Tide” has 18 songs, some of which hit the 2-minute mark, challenging the listener to go to that dark place in their soul where the floor is covered in beer and everyone smells and pushes each other around, sometimes lovingly, other times to wrestle their emotional demons. Champions of the three-chord attack, Sal Gabriel, Kam Andresen, and Tristan Ellis coerce melody out of chaos as they explore the space between good and evil, where truth dwells in the basement.
