The creative spirit of shuttered DIY venue Non Plus Ultra lives on with the second annual Nonplussed Fest, scheduled for July 14-16 at the new Frogtown venue Zebulon Café.
The festival’s menu of music, art and film includes the Friday premiere of Michael Grodner’s film “The Icarus Line Must Die,” along with musical performances by Icarus Line frontman Joe Cardamone, Annie Hardy, Pink Mountaintops, HOTT MT, Vinyl Williams, the Brendan Eder Ensemble and the Desert Quill Quartet.
In addition to the premiere and the live music, the festival hosts a program of short films (Saturday and Sunday) in partnership with the Voyager Institute and the Video Collective of Los Angeles (VCLA), a showcase of two virtual reality pieces and four interactive media projects, along with a photography exhibition.
Tickets ($12 in advance, $15 at the door) are available here: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
