Every time Sylvan Esso visits Los Angeles, it seems, it’s reason to party. The North Carolina duo of Amelia Meath and producer Nick Sanborn did it up right Friday night at the Palladium turning a packed room into a bouncing, swaying mass of happy humanity. It was the duo’s first visit to Southern California since the April release of their sophomore album, “What Now,” and they obliged by playing nine of the 10 songs from it, displaying their typical unbridled energy. They finished their three-song encore with 2014’s “Play It Right.”
