The latest pop confection from Jacob Summers — aka Avid Dancer — comes via Noon Pacific, a fan-funded record label, and feels like a breeze off the Pacific. “Favorite Dreams” is Avid Dancer’s fourth single (two in 2016, two this year) since its debut album “1st Bath” in 2015; Summers has been engaged in a lot of co-writing, as well as exercising his musical muscles by doing batches of covers. He explains that the chorus of “Favorite Dreams” was written for somebody else’s song, but said person ended up not using it. He adds that the tune is about trying to find balance his “rager musician side [with] his domesticated side.” A little tropical percussion never hurts.
