L.A. trio Mt. Si surfaced in early 2016, the side project of solo artists Sarah Chernoff (ex-Superhumanoids), Jesse Kivel (Kisses) and Classixx’s Michael David. Their first EP, “Limits,” came out nearly four years after they first got together, so suffice to say there’s not a lot of urgency for the trio to release music. But they have found time to make “911,” the new EP arriving Feb. 16 via Cascine Records. And as leisurely goes, you could hardly get more chill than the title track, which floats along on pastel clouds occasionally scattered by gusts of synth. The EP will be released on 12-inch vinyl with some inevitable remixes. After you put it on the turntable once, you might be too mellow to take it off for a while.
