Portland ensemble Typhoon returned to L.A. on Sunday night for the first time in four years behind their new album “Offerings.” Singer-songwriter Kyle Morton and his pared-down ensemble (Typhoon performed as a sextet on this night) gave the crowd at the Teragram Ballroom selections from their four-album career as well as the evocative new material. Fellow Portlanders Mimicking Birds preceded the headliners with a set including songs from their new album “Layers of Us,” and Matt Dorrien (fka Snowblind Traveler) began the evening with material from his forthcoming album “In the Key of Grey.”
