Donald Glover’s new song as Childish Gambino, “This Is America,” tackles a lot, and so does the video. The song, with background vocals from Young Thug, 21 Savage, Quavo, Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi and BlocBoy JB, debuted last week on “Saturday Night Live,” is an arresting commentary on the times. In the video, directed by Hiro Murai, Glover and dancers emote frenetically in the foreground while all hell breaks loose in the background. It’ll leave you out of breath, and maybe a little bit unsettled.
