Video premiere: JOYNER, ‘Blue Love’

Summer and Torrey JOYNER visit the desert in their new video, singing and dancing to the mellow synthpop of “Blue Love” while searching for answers among the sand-dusted boulders. The song’s vibe is kicked-back with an airy melody but the feeling is one of romantic frustration. “Blue love is being in a relationship with someone that is in a relationship with their technology,” Summer says. Put down that phone, essentially. The California-born-and-raised sister duo will release their self-titled EP on May 18, a collection of songs about navigating love and chasing dreams in Hollywood.
