Escape to a fantasy. 104% guaranteed to be better than the real thing,” says Kadhja Bonet about “Another Time Lover,” the third track lifted from her new album, “Childqueen.” With a playful pop beat chugging along throughout, Bonet’s silky voice traverses a path lined with flutes, violins, guitars, bells, bubbling sounds and flourishes that sound like cascading lasers.

Performed by Bonet and recorded all over the world, “Childqueen” is the follow-up to her debut, 2016’s “The Visitor.” It’s out June 8 via Fat Possum and Anderson .Paak’s label, OBE, and we’re eager to see it all performed live, either with a band … or by a few clone replicants of Bonet, whatever works.
