Beachwood Coyotes — the quartet of singer-guitarist Jason Nott, bassist Drew Smith, guitarist Yan Clermont and drummer Bryan King — make their mark last year with their first EP, “Scrubby,” a four-pack of effervescent guitar-pop songs with outsized choruses. They’ve followed up this year with a pair of singles, including one that juggles the quartet’s predilection for feel-good with good ol’ self-deprecation. On the new single “I Am Just a Stand In,” Nott acknowledges that he’s just in a relationship for the short-term. But, like Beachwood Coyotes’ three-minute nugget, that doesn’t mean it won’t be a good time.
