La Santa Cecilia, Cuco to play Disney Hall as part of L.A. Phil’s LA Fest

The legend of Cuco continues to grow. It was only two years ago that the artist born Omar Banos, then 18, was releasing trippy psych-pop ballads made in his bedroom. Since then he’s become a theater headliner and festival favorite and released total of two mixtapes, an EP and a single. And today it was announced that Cuco will play Walt Disney Concert on Oct. 14.
Cuco and his band will join previously announced La Santa Cecilia on the final date of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s LA Fest, a six-concert series billed as “The Music of Our City” in which various artists will perform with the L.A. Phil, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
The series also inclujdes performances by Andrew Bird, Moby and Herbie Hancock.
