Vision casually released their second full-length, a self-titled tape of 11 songs, through Burger Records last week. Currently comprised of Christopher Valer, Nathaniel Hernandez Paris, George Verdugo and Jose Tapia, the band recorded the album in Highland Park with Victor Salinas. “This time we wanted to step away a bit from our old sound,” says Valer. First single “Can’t Be Tamed” is rough and tumbling, with swirling reverb, a lot of vehemently crashing cymbals, and abundant attitude. “All our music is about life experiences,” he explains. It doesn’t feel so much like a departure as it does a progression of Vision’s dark, cathartic sound.
