You’d be hard-pressed to find a sunnier-sounding song titled “Shadows” than Lost Beach’s new single of that name. The L.A. quartet’s fourth single released this year, it’s a finger-snapper with Lost Beach’s typical sun-bleached sentimentality and some nifty lyrical imagery: “Fight the fools fear of ghosts / ’cause you’re amongst the moving shadows / And we’re all somewhat on our own / Under the night’s moonlight glow.”

The video for the song was filmed in Paris, where Lost Beach toured recently with Freedom Fry. On a bright day, main man Jonny Perdue walks the streets of the 17th Arrondissement, occasionally glancing at his shadow but otherwise without a care in the world. Besides being in Paris, there was another reason for him to be upbeat: The Texas native got engaged shortly after the video was filmed. Cheers.
