Stream: She Wants Revenge, ‘Big Love’

Just in time for their headlining appearance Saturday night at the Cloak & Dagger Festival, long-running L.A. duo She Wants Revenge have released a new single. “Big Love” (out today via We Are Hear, the label helmed by Linda Perry and Kerry Brown) is SWR’s first new music since they released the 10-year anniversary song “Never” in 2016. The duo’s last album, “Valleyheart,” came out in 2011.

The track is vintage stuff from the duo of Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin (one of the architects of Cloak & Dagger) — a galloping chunk of dark post-punk with bubbling synths, insistent bass and Warfield’s the-end-is-near vocals, calling out to you like the hangover you still have from clubbing in 2005 when you first heard “Tear You Apart.”
