FEELS packed the Echo on Tuesday night for a show celebrating the release of their sophomore album, “Post Earth,” which is officially out Friday. The show was not for anybody with sensitive hearing or those who needed to get up early in the morning. It was ideal for anybody in need of some primal moments and those who like to mosh to jagged guitar riffs.

FEELS took the stage at 11:45 p.m., with Laena Geronimo saying, “We’re FEELS. We’re so excited about this record coming out. Thank you for sharing this moment with us.”

And then the L.A. quartet became the moment, kicking off the show with two highlights from the new album, “Car” and “Awful Need.” Then they paused to toss in a little scream therapy to deal with “this mess of a world.” They ended up performing almost all of the new album, along with “Slippin” and “Close My Eyes” from their 2016 debut. They inspired Lexi Funston of the supporting band the Paranoyds to crowd-surf (“I got high off FEELS’ red vinyl record,” she said later) and they tossed flowers into the crowd.

“Thanks to the moon,” Geronimo said. “It’s the brightest moon of the year.”

Gustaf, The Bank of America and the Paranoyds led into the headliners with energetic sets.

FEELS’ setlist: Car, Awful Need, Unicorn, Tollbooth, Find a Way, W.F.L., Slippin, Sour, Flowers, Post Earth, Deconstructed. Encore: Close My Eyes
