HØØNCH is the new endeavor from singer-multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Kim and singer-synth player Gabriel Rodrigues, two-fifths of the electro-pop quintet WALLA, which released three EPs and, in January, the single “101” (which has racked up 10 million plays on Spotify). The L.A.-based duo’s new song “Top” shows their uncanny knack for pool party-ready pop, making even a kiss-off song sound like the happiest moment under the summer sun. “I wish I didn’t know you,” Kim declares over the infectious bounce. Clap your hands, whistle along, and move on to the next relationship, right?
