Hello, SXSW attendees. Buzz Bands LA returns to Austin this year for another “Dear Austin, Love L.A.” day party on Wednesday, March 13, at Opal Divine’s Freehouse, 700 W. 6th St. We’re hosting nine bands from southern California. Here’s a mixtape (with more information below):

Hey Austin, L.A. is coming for you again this year.
“Dear Austin, Love L.A,” the annual party thrown by Buzz Bands LA, returns to Opal Divine’s Freehouse on Wednesday, March 13, for a day of music from nine emerging bands. The showcase runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free and all-ages (no RSVP necessary). Details here. The 27th year of the South by Southwest Music Festival kicks off the night before throughout Austin.
The lunch hour kicks off with sets from folk artists Fairbanks and Yellow Red Sparks before the rockers take over, with Criminal Hygiene, Hindu Pirates, Pageants, the Lonely Wild, the Dead Ships, Cayucas and Beach Party to follow.
