Before embarking on their “Groundswell” tour, Rooney will play a free hometown show. Their first album in six years, “Washed Away,” came out in July.
On “Washed Away,” out May 6, songwriter Robert Schwartzman re-boots the Rooney brand after five years of other projects and legal disputes with former bandmates.
As the principal songwriter for three albums and an EP by Rooney, Robert Schwartzman penned unfailingly hooky power-pop tunes. So it stands to reason that his new venture into electro-pop would have the same quality.
