[Consider these your pre-Palin listening party suggestions before the vice presidential debates:]
The Crystal Method has long aligned itself with a party — mostly the Dance Party. Now the dangerous duo of Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland has revisited an old song, “Now Is the Time,” and remixed it with a guest vocalist. Well, more like a guest speaker. Those are snippets from Barack Obama’s DNC speech spliced into the racehorse track, which gets my vote.

And on a distinctly bipartisan tip, there is a nice new warm-and-fuzzy from Canadian troubadour Luke Doucet called “I Wish I Was American.” No matter that Canadians technically are Americans — you get his drift. Doucet, whose latest album “Blood’s Too Rich” came out earlier this year, sings “I don’t have to be a resident / to care about who’s president.” Nice.
