Not resting on the accolades it received from its 2008 debut “And Now … Le Switch,” L.A. quintet Le Switch — the Monday night residents at Spaceland in February — has readied a new EP titled “The Devil Needs a Cough Drop.” It will be out Feb. 23 on the Aquarium Drunkard’s Autumn Tone imprint, and from the sound of one of the tracks, Le Switch frontman Aaron Kyle hasn’t been popping any cough drops. His throaty rumble remains powerful enough to make the ice cubes in your Jameson’s tinkle, even on the following track, a demo version of “Sunday Morning.” I swear people have broken out in a sweat when Le Switch has played this one live.
