Bonnaroo lineup set; Langerado festival canceled

On the day one of the United States’ preeminent music festivals, Bonnaroo, announced a formidable lineup that includes Bruce Springsteen, Nine Inch Nails [Trent Reznor, pictured], Snoop Dog, Wilco and Phish, another mega-gathering, the Langerado Music Festival scheduled next month in Miami, was canceled. Langerado was to have featured the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Snoop, Ryan Adams, Modest Mouse and the Pogues over three days March 6-8. But promoters cited slow ticket sales. Said the press release: “Langerado’s independent local promoters, faced with a very tough decision in a dismal economy, cancelled the 2009 event only after every possible option was exhausted.”
The eighth annual Bonnaroo will go off June 11-14 in Manchester, Tenn., featuring 120 bands and 20 comedians on 13 stages. Tickets go on sale at the event’s website at noon Saturday; festival passes start at $247.60. After the jump, the Bonnaroo lineup:
