I’m not sure when L.A. electro-pop quartet Casxio is going to start getting the attention they deserve, but the video they just released for the song “Boiling Point” might help. It’s a stark short film with a cast of six, directed by Hilton Carter and made by his production team Fresh Kill. Casxio has consistently made some of the most interesting (i.e., not your assembly-line 4/4) electro music in town the past couple of years, with Lucas Guerin’s soul-man tenor and tear-it-up work on the bass offering a sight and sound to behold. The quartet (next date: Club Moscow at Boardner’s on Feb. 18) is currently finishing a full-length album, aiming for a late spring/summer release.

The vaguely otherworldy charms of Miranda Lee Richards’ music shine on Piper Ferguson’s video for the single “Early November,” off the singer-songwriter’s new album “Light of X.” She continues her residency tonight (and Feb. 17 and 24) at Spaceland.
