Orenda Fink [pictured] was just in town in late November, for a one-off reunion show with Maria Taylor as Azure Ray. Now she’s back (playing Bordello, with Whispertown 2000 and others) and has some new material in her arsenal. O+S, her new collaboration with Remy Zero’s Cedric LeMoyne, releases its debut album March 24 on Saddle Creek – plus she will be showcasing new songs from a recently complete solo album. … Blank Blue’s set Monday at Spaceland was cut short by that evening’s power outage, so you can get more tonight at the Silverlake Lounge, where DJ Nobody and friends support Free Moral Agents. … The Newno2, Dhani Harrison’s band, returns to the venue at which they did a spotty residency last year, the Key Club. … The Entrance Band opens for Cat Power at the second of the two-night stand at the Avalon. … Styx. House of Blues. Yep. … Sweethead (featuring Troy Van Leeuwen from Queens of the Stone Age) entertain at Club NME at Spaceland. … It’s Nightfur at 3 Clubs, Castaneda the next two Wednesdays at Club Moscow at Boardner’s and”  Death by Stereo at the Knitting Factory. … Residencies continue for Aushua (Alterknit Lounge), Austin Hartley-Leonard at the Hotel Cafe and Firebug (Skinny’s). … And you get big rock with Cradle of Filth at the Music Box @ Fonda, and big laughs with the Whitest Kids U Know at the El Rey. Or is that the other way around? …
