Videos: New from Cold War Kids, Nous Non Plus

The new video for the Cold War Kids track “I’ve Seen Enough,” directed by Vern Moen, weaves in-studio footage from the making of their album “Loyalty to Loyalty” with images from the Long Beach quartet’s travels and glimpses of bassist/artist Matt Maust’s typographic treatments of the lyrics. Cold War Kids play the Orpheum on March 27, supported by Crystal Antlers.

Now for something a little lighter. The video for “Loli,” by the faux-French band Nous Non Plus, stars L.A.’s own writer-rocker Dan Crane (aka Jean-Luc Retard in Nous Non Plus, aka Air Guitar champion Björn Türoque) and was directed by Greg Harrison – who gets a hilarious roasting in the even-funnier making-of video. Nous Non Plus’ music is not the joke the band’s schtick would imply, as the racehorse pop ditty “Loli” shows. Their album, “Menagerie,” was released in January on L.A. imprint Aeronaut Records.
