[Birthday greetings to Angus Young of AC/DC today, and now we rock on:]
Is it my imagination, or is this a rare slow day? Well, I guess it’s not slow if you’re the Newno2, the band helmed by Dhani Harrison and Oli Hecks [pictured]. Their debut album “You Are Here” comes out today, and the quintet plays a 7 p.m. in-store at Amoeba. … At the Hotel Cafe, Fitz & the Tantrums throw down a little sweet vintage soul. … San Francisco post-rockers From Monument to Masses, with a new album “On Little Known Frequencies,” hit Cinespace. … And at the Echo, it’s the serene sounds of L.A. songstress Mia Doi Todd. … Also: Random Patterns at the Silverlake Lounge, Stab City at the Viper Room, Bohren & Der Club of Gore at Spaceland and Signal Hill at the Bootleg Theater, a new venue at 2220 Beverly Blvd. being booked by the Fold.
