Los Angeles quintet Low Vs Diamond has a busy few months ahead: After a headlining gig Sunday at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, the band heads off on tour with Jack’s Manequin for seven dates and Ben Lee for 13. The fivesome is still touring behind their self-titled debut released from last year, an album that deserves to be doing better the marketplace (9,000 copies sold, as compared to, for instance, the Airborne Toxic Event’s, 66,000). LVD’s new video for “Don’t Forget Sister” is sure to make you crack a smile – a fun idea brilliantly executed. Let your fingers do the walking.
The video for the new Metric single “Gimme Sympathy” won’t do anything to quell your Emily Haines’ crushes. Director Frank Borin shot it in one 3-minute, 48-second take, adding a healthy dose of urgency to an irrestistably catchy song. The band’s fourth album, “Fantasies,” comes out April 14, and its tour brings them to the Wiltern Theatre on June 8.
Clever… and that’s an impressive head of hair there, guy.
