In what has become de rigeur over the past year-plus, the Henry Clay People thrilled an Eastside crowd thick with friends and family on Monday night, kicking off their April residency at Spaceland with a surprise appearance from the members of the Airborne Toxic Event, as well as a strong lineup of supporting acts. Thee Mighty Angels, fronted by ex-Mighty Lemon Drops guitarist David Newton (who has produced the Henry Clays’ recordings), started things off, followed by a sweaty, thrashy set by Mike Watt and the Missingmen. The headliners followed, with an assist from Airborne (with whom the Henry Clays recently toured), and Ready the Jet capped the evening. Photographer Jeff Koga captured the proceedings for Buzz Bands. Above: THCP’s Joey Siara with TATE’s Noah Harmon.
