This is genius. Cold War Kids – along with Sam Jones, the man behind Wilco’s “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart” – have released an interactive video for their song “I’ve Seen Enough.” (It’s not embeddable, so if you just click on the image, or here, it’ll take you to the video.) Through the miracles of web technology, the video allows viewers to “remix” the song (even as it plays) by clicking on the colored bars above band members Jonnie Russell, Nathan Willett, Matt Aveiro and Matt Maust – which changes their parts. Hard not to have fun with this for a while.

This video for local indie-rock band One Trick Pony might suffer from too many ideas mixed into the stew. The song is “Phonebook,” off the band’s EP “Full of Life,” and the largely stop-motion video is the vision of directors Randy Williams, Simon Cardoza and Christian Biel. One Trick Pony (along with Langhorne Slim) is playing the next installment of Kidrockers on May 31 at the Echo.
