L.A. art-pop ensemble Fol Chen warmed up for a trip across the pond on Thursday by playing to a nearly full house at the Echo. Frontman Adam Goldman (aka Samuel Bing, pictured above) leads his charges on a seven-day, six-show tour of the U.K. beginning Monday. Thursday’s bill almost qualified as a sonic experiment – besides the headliner’s stew of twitchy electro mixed with horns, drums and guitar, the night featured strong supporting sets by Karin Tatoyan, Wait.
