Couple of big shows go head-to-head tonight, so if you’re out purely for the music, you really can’t go wrong. She Wants Revenge [pictured] headlines the “Kick Out of the Clots: A Benefit for Jennifer Tefft” event at the Echo/Echoplex — the fundraiser offers a long night of music (doors at 7 p.m.) featuring Living Things, Dead Meadow, Great Northern, Rocco DeLuca, Nico Stai, the Honorary Title, Useless Keys and the LA Ladies Choir; plus a DJ set from Moving Units. … Over at the Hamer Museum in Westwood, it’s the first in the “Also I Like to Rock” series. Two buzzy newbies – Brooklyn’s Amazing Baby above and U.K. trio Band of Skulls – highlight the proceedings, with L.A.’s”  Dazzler opening the night (free; doors at 8). Above is Amazing Baby’s video for “Headdress;” does the song remind anybody else of my beloved British Sea Power? … Meanwhile, San Francisco’s Citay performs at the Silverlake Lounge with Black Math HorsemanPop Noir is joined by the Union Line at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa. … Dios, with the new EP “Cosmic Rays” just out on Buddyhead, will pack ’em in at the 3 Clubs. … Also: Vanaprasta at the Viper Room; Chasing Kings at the Hotel Cafe; and Run Devil Run at the Roxy.

Obligatory self-promotional note: I will be DJing between the early sets at the Echoplex tonight, begining at 7.
