Who knows when the Henry Clay People are going to have time to record a follow-up to “For Cheap or For Free” – besides upcoming tour dates with the Airborne Toxic Event and a date Aug. 7 at Lollapalooza, their name is on a list of local bands slated to play the Lobsterfest on Sept. 18-19-20 in San Pedro.
No official announcement yet, but the names I hear for the shindig at the Port of Silver Lake – er, San Pedro – includes the Henry Clays, the Happy Hollows, Dios, Love Grenades and Oliver Future, along with Gram Rabbit, Dazzler, Bangkok Five, the Binges, Rocket, Red Elvises and Los Straitjackets. A headliner is in the works.
The Henry Clay People are also headlining “Rock n Roll Summer Circus” on Aug. 14 at the Echoplex. Fol Chen, the Flying Tourbillon Orchestra and Marvelous Toy are also among the players at the games-added mini-festival, and attendees who don a moustache, mime face or clown gear will get a free mix CD from the bands (more than 10 in all) involved.

Gotta love a food festival with good music! Lobsterfest consistently has a killer local lineup – gives you a little more for your dollar! 🙂
Wow, that is a pretty good lineup. Much better than what you’d expect at a food festival. I’ll be there for sure…
