The supergroup featuring drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and bassist John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) – who are going by Them Crooked Vultures – debuted Sunday night in Chicago. Their post-Lollapalooza club gig was met with glowing reviews from veteran critics Jim DeRogatis of the Chicago Sun-Times and Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune.
Meanwhile, at Lollapalooza, No Age’s Randy Randall soldiered on with his scheduled set, playing seated because of a separated shoulder sustained Friday night. And the rest of the L.A. contingent? The reviews were less than enthusiastic for Silversun Pickups, the Airborne Toxic Event and Cold War Kids: DeRogatis’ Day 3 report; Kot’s Day 3 report. And DeRogatis liked Thenewno2?
Lollapalooza looked like such a great show this year..im pissed I couldnt go..BUT im definitely tuning in to that Fuse Lolla highlights show this Saturday at 9..it looks sick! Fuse Special
