[pictured] brings its Intergalactic Circus to the El Rey Theatre. … In the It-Was-Good-the-First-Time-So-Do-It-Again Dept.: Black Francis and Mere Mortals do the second of two nights at the Mint; Dawes (joined by Paige Stark) does the second night of its residency at the Echo; and Wait Think Fast does another rousing Wednesday at downtown’s La Cita. …”  Excellent bill at the Knitting Factory, with Avi Buffalo and the Parson Red Heads joining New Jersey’s Roadside Graves. … Also: Maxim Ludwig at the Hotel Cafe; the Kelly Buchanan Benefit at the Troubadour with Glen Phillips, Sara Bareilles, the Rescues and Maria Taylor; Sky Parade and Dissolver at Club NME at Spaceland; San Francisco’s French Miami at the Silverlake Lounge; Dynamite Walls at the Viper Room; and High on Fire at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach.
