But if you were aced out of the big tickets, the local scene has some stellar offerings. … Mellowdrone’s new album “Angry Bear” comes out today, and the L.A. trio celebrates with a show at Spaceland, with White Arrows opening. … Great conflagration of local bands at the Troubadour – the Shys (pictured; they have a couple upcoming dates opening for the Killers) headline, with Army Navy and Eastern Conference Champions supporting. … Also: Lee “Scratch” Perry at the Key Club; John Vanderslice does an in-store at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park; the Lovemakers’ residency at the Silverlake Lounge; the Phenomenal Handclap Band at Cinespace; Marilyn Manson at Pomona’s Fox Theater; I Will Never Be the Same at the Viper Room; and Lady Danville at the Hotel Cafe.
